Stay Organized For The New Year With These Helpful Tips + Tools!

You did it -- you survived the first week of the new year.

The new year is a symbolization of getting your life together to plan for a fulfilling and proactive year ahead.  Think to yourself -- how many times do you make a New Year's resolution but broke it within the first week? How many of you make goals throughout the year and never see them through? I have been guilty of all of those things. Goals are there to help you stay focused and make little milestones to over come. The bigger they get, the more accomplished you will feel once you achieve them.

The easiest way to achieve those goals is to be organized. It's not easy but being organized can tremendously improve your life in all areas. If you are already organized then consider yourself ahead of the game but remember -- organization comes in many different forms. My personal best is writing things down and making sure that it's visible and easily accessible for reference.

Here are some tips, tools, and crafty ideas for the maximizing your full potential:

First things first -- a journal. Being organized and feeling the need to meet goals is overbearing. Writing down your day, goals for the next few day, a project, or simply your feelings, can drastically improve your quality of life. I find that the …

I LOVE the Passion Planner. It's a great gift for someone looking to get their goals, tasks, money, and life in check. It's more detailed than the ordinary planner. This specific planner is not date specific, meaning you have to make more of an initiative of organizing your days.  What's also great is that you can plan out your life hour by hour. While that sounds overwhelming, I like it do that way I never miss a beat.

Passion Planners range from $30-$40: http://www.passionplanner.com/

FOLDERS!! I always keep a folder for a project I am working on. I never used to before but then I realized -- the more aesthetically drawn I am to something, the more likely I will use it all the time. My current favorite are from Kate Spade and Cynthia Rowley. Plus, folders are an inexpensive cost vs. the struggle of not finding something important.

This is my personal favorite -- the planning sheet. I got this nifty Social Media planner from Etsy for my daily/weekly posts. These are great for small business owners to stay on top of their Social Media/ Marketing presence. It also helps to have supplies that help keep all those papers together one you are done. (Don't you just want to go to Staples right now...?)

Also, I never have just ONE journal; I have multiple. One for my dreams, traveling, and lifetime goals.

This post is to not make you feel obliged to buy all these things but to buy the right thing for you! I hope that you have found comfort in this post and feel prepared to take on the year ahead. Granted, we don't always have control over our destiny but we do have control over what we do and how we do it.

Cheers,
